Abstract

This article is a compilation of unpublished manuscript documents taken from the General Archive of the Nation, Archiepiscopal Archives of Lima, and National Superintendence of Public Registries, to reconstruct truthfully the history of the district of Ate in Lima, Peru, through rustic properties between the years 1580 and 1904, viceregal and republican period. Currently there is a lack of books on the subject, and the few published are only based on short quotes to authors already known, and false assumptions. These documents will serve the author for an upcoming publication, which will form a cultural identity that the residents of Ate lack.
