The management of Public Health in Lima during the management of Fernando Torres and Portugal, 1st Count of Villardompardo, as Assistant of Seville (1578-1583) and Viceroy of Peru (1585-1589)
Abstract
Fernando Torres y Carbajal would have accumulated a wide experience as assistant of Seville, especially in the managing pest, forming you join of doctors to determine if a disease was declared pestilent, creation of lazarettos and other measures. This knowledge overturned it when it assumed the viceroy’s post of Peru. The pests were present during his management both in Seville and in Peru. Also it was experienced as for the management of natural disasters nevertheless of different nature floods at Seville and earthquakes, at Lima.
