Abstract

This work research the demography and the indigenous economy of Vilcas Huaman at the XVI and XVII century, with the objective of explain: Why the Vilcas Huaman Valley was the mayor prefer zone for the pre-Hispanic empires and the Spain Estate? And which was the reason for the mayor presence of the encomenderos and ecclesiastic authorities? To approach, that the Vilcas Huaman Province, for multiethnic public, geography, agricultural riches, farmer and miner, during the pre-Hispanic period and the virreinato, had a continue economy importance, in profit of the encomenderos, the priests and the Spanish crown.
