Abstract

We analyze a document that lists the books taken by the police from Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre while in hiding in Lima. The books identified have been organized in a table that allows us to depict the intelectual and political universe of Haya in this moment. We also suggest some traits of the system of politico-cultural repression that marked 20th-century Peru.
