Environmental and security Technical Specifications for the Design of the Physical Infrastructure of a Central Archive
Abstract
In most of the Central Archives, the archival documents are being kept in places that do not comply with the minimum to give good treatment and custody. Much of these are adapted from spaces built for other purposes and, sometimes, when there is the possibility of building from scratch, they do not meet the requirements. This article indicates elements to be considered for the construction of a Central Archive, not only focusing on its function, but also exposes the appropriate public measures for the conservation and security of the documents.
