Abstract

For most people, narrating the life of Abraham Valdelomar is referring to a person linked to the world of letters, especially in the creation of stories and essays of great impact for the collective memory. However, the academic field is not the only area that this character participated during his short earthly life. During his university stage he actively collaborated in the construction of the University Center. Valdelomar even applied to become president of that organization, however, he found a reluctant resistance from his colleagues that frustrated that aspiration. The evolution of this student electoral process is what we will be developing in the following article.
