Abstract

This study is devoted to consider the trajectory of a jeweller in Lima during the beginning of the XVII century, the most prominent century of Latin America. In spite of been a well-known person, appreciated and recognized; Pedro Negrillo, born in Madrid but settled down in Lima, has never been the center of Historical Research until now. This is an attempt to amend this neglect and give him the importance he deserves by presenting his legacy beyond his activity as a jeweller master.
