Abstract

Through the review of documentary and hemerographic sources, an analysis of the evolution of the so-called Casa del Oidor will be carried out from the mid-16th century to the end of the 20th century, which will include its first owners, the origin of its name, the architectural changes suffered, the threat of demolition in the 1950s to replace it with a square, the restoration promoted in 1968 by its owner and the granting of the category of historical monument. By means of paintings, engravings and photographs, we will be able to make a more accurate approach to heritage and make some proposals about its architectural evolution.
